div>NASA has discovered the first ever 'biosignature' on Mars. The discovery was made by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, which is a satellite that was launched in 2005 to map the entire surface of Mars.

On July 19, 2013, NASA's Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) entered the atmosphere of Mars. The cloud of dust released by the spacecraft's parachute was visible from Earth.
